Delete your Tracc account and data
This page explains how to request deletion of your Tracc account and any data associated with it, what gets deleted, what is retained, and how long retention lasts.
1. Anonymous users (you never signed in)
If you used Tracc without creating an account, all of your data is stored locally on your device. We never received any of it. To delete it, clear the app's storage on whichever platform you used:
- Android: Settings → Apps → Tracc → Storage → Clear Storage
- iOS: Delete the app from your home screen (long-press → Remove App → Delete App). Reinstall is optional.
- Web (browser): In your browser settings, find Site Settings or Cookies and Site Data, locate the Tracc origin, and Clear Site Data.
No further action is needed. We hold nothing about your account.
2. Signed-in users (you created an account)
If you signed in with an email and password, your transactions, wallets, and profile have been synced to your private cloud document. To delete your account and that cloud data, follow these steps:
- Send an email from your registered email address (the one you signed in with) to either of the addresses below.
- Use the subject line

4. What is kept
| Category | Why | Retention |
|---|---|---|
| Anonymized product analytics | Aggregate counts of feature usage (e.g. "transactions added: N") that cannot be linked back to you after your account is deleted. Used for trend analysis only. | Up to 7 years in aggregate form, per PostHog's retention. Individual events older than 1 year are not used for any per-user purpose. |
| Crash logs / diagnostics | If a crash was reported from your device, the technical crash report (no transaction content) may exist. | Rolling 90-day window; auto-deleted after. |
| Email correspondence | The email you send requesting deletion, plus our reply, is retained in our mailbox. | Typical email retention; available on request. |
5. Confirmation and timeline
We aim to acknowledge your request within 1 business day and complete deletion within 7 calendar days. You will receive a confirmation email once it's done. If you have not heard back from us within 7 days, please resend your request — sometimes emails get caught in spam filters.
6. Questions or appeals
If a deletion request was refused, partially completed, or you have any other concern, contact either of us at the email addresses above. Under GDPR (EU/UK), CCPA (California), and DPDPA 2023 (India), you have additional rights including access, rectification, and erasure — these are all honored.
